    About The Wine

Zantho’s Ice Wine is made from the Grüner Veltliner grape, which is native to Austria.

While this wine is now available in Ontario, quantities are extremely limited.

The grapes grow in Zantho vineyards around the villages of Andau and Jois which are characterized by dry, gritty and mineral soils. This Austrian region is called Seewinkel and rivals the world’s best sweet wine appellations, including France’s Sauternes region and Hungary’s Tokay region.

    Tasting Notes:

Zantho’s Ice Wine shows noble golden notes with yellow reflections. On the nose, it seduces with hints of spice, peaches, candied pineapples and touches of a bouquet of honey. On the palate, it shows again deep fruit backed up by vivid acidity. It has a long and creamy finish.

    Food Pairing:

Enjoy this wine well chilled as aperitif or with fruity desserts.
