    About The Wine

Zantho’s Zweigelt Reserve is based on the following blend: 90% Zweigelt, 5% Blaufränkisch and 5% St. Laurent. It is now available in Ontario for private purchase.

The grapes grow in Zantho vineyards around the villages of Andau and Jois which are characterized by dry, gritty and mineral soils. This Austrian region is called Seewinkel and
offers ideal climate conditions for growing the Zweigelt Reserve grapes.

    Tasting Notes:

Zantho’s Zweigelt Reserve shows deep red colour with a purple rim. On the nose, the Reserve shows incredibly deep and fine fruit including fresh cherries, blueberries and hints of cinnamon. On the palate, the taste of spicy cherries and blueberries continue from the nose and are backed-up by fine spiciness. The wine ends with a long and elegant finish with fine notes of chocolate.

This wine has fantastic aging potential!

    Food Pairing:

Enjoy this wine with heavy meat dishes and cheeses.

Tasting Notes: Peppery and tight, a wine with distinctly dry character. Its black current flavors are enveloped by the texture of the wine, although there is an excellent pink juicy character. Age for a year.
